Note: The PLANT FELLOWS post doctoral program was successfully completed in August 2016.
PLANT FELLOWS was an international post doc fellowship program in the field of plant sciences. This program was coordinated by the Zurich-Basel Plant Science Center between 2012-2016 and has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement no GA-2010-267243 – PLANT FELLOWS.
PLANT FELLOWS supported a total of 51 emerging scholars from 25 different nationalities all over the world.
The scholars have been hosted at 13 European and 7 international universities and research institutes and 3 industry partners, which were predefined as host organisations on the basis of their excellence in higher education and plant research.
PLANT FELLOWS offered post doc fellowships in three different categories (incoming, outgoing and reintegration) and a structured training program that includes workshops, training in complementary skills and industrial placements. The fellows had a unique opportunity to obtain PLANT FELLOWS Training Certification after successfully completing the program.
PLANT FELLOWS is establishing a training and qualification framework in the area of life-long learning/vocational training to complement the postdoctoral training in plant sciences.
