Science and Policy Talk
The upcoming Science and Policy Talk fully titled “Science4Policy: Understanding How Sciences Can Have an Impact in Policymaking in Democracies” will explore how scientific knowledge can effectively inform public policy and democratic decision-making. The session features Anastasia Deligkiaouri, a policy analyst and Learning & Development expert at the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC), who works on strengthening evidence-informed policymaking and capacity building for governments. Drawing on more than two decades of experience as a researcher, lecturer, and policy professional across Greece, the UK, and Ireland, she will share insights into how scientists and policymakers collaborate, how evidence can shape public governance, and what career pathways exist at the intersection of science and policy. The talk is part of a broader series aimed at helping students and early-career researchers understand how they can contribute to bridging the gap between research and policymaking.
This talk series is an offer as part of the PhD program in Science and Policy
